Here are three storyboards for a freeware App aimed for instant communications and daily interactions between separated family members on electronic devices such as smartphones or personal computers, including both the software and its service.
Story 1
On mid-autumn festival, after the class was dismissed, Dora’s classmates immediately go back to their hometowns and have their long weekend. Dora can only go back to her dorm room and celebrate mid-autumn festival alone far from her family.

Story 2

As soon as Dora is dismissed, she hops on the school bus and updates her family schedule. She then writes down her plan for the day. It’s a busy day for Dora so she doesn’t really have the time to go through her phone. The time her mom opens the schedule on the app, she notices that Dora has a lot going on that day. Her mom then left her a note saying “You can do it!”
Dora calls her mom right after school but her mom seems to be busy. Dora knew she’s free that day so she left a status saying she’s online. After some time, her mom notices how many missed calls she has. Her mom immediately calls Dora as soon as she sees her online status.
Dora doesn’t have the time to open her phone as she’s rushing to get ready for class. She quickly sends her mom a good morning sunflower text to let her know she’s up.

Story 3
While having a significant online conference on her laptop at noon, Doris gets a video-call request from her beloved daughter Christina labeled with a conspicuous yellow flag on the banner from Connect, which means there will be no emergency but some everyday talks in the following video call. Hence Doris chose to neglect it and continues with her conference. A moment later, Christina got an automatic reply from Connect which tells her why her mom is not convenient to answer the call now, when the online conference will end and her mom will call her as soon as possible after that.

Having enjoyed chatting for a few minutes, on the corner of the screen emerges an alert that Doris’s Wi-Fi connection is not stable enough, which may cause damage to the quality of video calls. And at this precise moment, there is an instruction appears on the screen telling her to move to the northern part of the house. While she was moving, the real-time internet speed showed on the screen is changing simultaneously. When she arrives at the destination, the Internet connection is normal again and the chat can be continued without interruptions

While getting ready in the morning, Dora uses Connect to check her schedule.
Today there is an exam at school that she participates in, so this item is conspicuous to be seen in the schedule. Then she finds online memos left by her mom in the early morning under this arrangement.
